WILL MORMONS ENDORSE A LIAR

Does the Mormon Church endorse liars? Romney has put his church in a bad position. I am sure Church Leaders would love to endorse him as being one of their own. The first Mormon to run for the office. However, everyone in the country knows he lied repeatedly in the presidential debates. Do they really want to endorse a known liar? Is this the kind of label they want for their church?

  1. Google "Lying for the lord" and you get a sense of what Romney may be doing...and very effectively given the recent poll numbers. It may be that people who want to support Romney (or don't want to support Obama), are choosing to ignore the multiple exposed lies because they are selectively filtering to build on what they want to believe. I consider the Romney lies to be so blatant that it has revealed a significant enough character flaw that disqualifies the man as a candidate for the presidency. I'm not pleased with the slow pace of the economic recovery. Because of that, my support for Obama is tepid. But I absolutely refuse to vote for a candidate who has demonstrated time and again he will radically change his position depending on what audience he is wanting to court. My take is that Romney may be running for one purpose; to fulfill his ambition. I, for one, will not support his ambition. I expect a president to have a vision for the country; not just for himself. Plus, I refuse to vote for a someone who has demonstrated, to me, with his lying that he is missing a morale compass..regardless of his public statements regarding the importance of his religion. His actions say otherwise.

I appreciate your comments. I agree Obama's response to the economy crisis is tepid. However, the Founding Fathers did not put the budget in the hands of the President, they put the purse strings in the hands of Congress and in 2010 the American people put the congress in the hands of the Ayn Rand conservatives. I believe that error is with the American people. Having said that, the entire recovery effort, such as it is, is remarkably good. They may be on the road to making another error because of restraints inherent in the Constitution.
