SHIFT IN THE BAIN SHAME GAME

I heard Edward Conard, a partner in Bain, on Chris Hayes’ show UP on MSNBC trying to justify outsourcing. He was saying without shame that Bain was good for America. His arguments were so weak they were pitiful for everyone except MBAs; who worship make money at any cost. Tuesday morning I heard Professor Michael Porter saying essentially the same thing. He has little moral credibility because he is a Harvard Professor of Business Arts (MBA). He was saying things we have already heard ad nausea like having to pay lower wages but added to these things like “business could get rid of the heavy burden of regulation”. He meant they could dump there toxic wastes without anyone other than themselves making them do it. Not having OHSA or ignoring them as Blankenship did in West Virginia. The kinds of things that would save money hence increase profits etc but, here comes the best part, the products would cost the American consumers less. He is right!!! You want to pay less for what you buy . . .  no matter what. Walmart’s success proves that.

Let me remind you the Walton Family is using the vast wealth their stores earn to buy congress: Thanks to the Robert’s Court. This is a tough corner for American workers. Do you vote for a congressional representative that supports the Bain system of doing business or do you not vote. The fact is that you no longer have an option. That’s right, if advertizing works (and it does), what you independently think no LONGER MATTERS at the congressional level. Look at Scott Walker, an Ayn Rand puppet bought his governors seat. Karl Rove, with his fists stuffed with corporate money, is dragging the American voters around by the nose in the presidential race. They do not tell the truth, they tell you what they want you to think is the truth. Now they are working to make that a fact at the presidential level by openly shifting the argument toward touting Bain as a good thing. We need Obama. He may be the last elected American president before the PLUTOCRATS takes over.
