REPUBLICANS ATTACK REPUBLICANS: G.H.W.BUSH AND ROBERTS

I just realized something. Republicans are attacking their own. Their attacks started for not following the party platform but now have evolved in to attacks against those party members who are not being radical. This started with the attacks against President George H.W Bush for raising taxes. Remember the tired old “read my lips” line. He betrayed Grover Norquist followers and not the conglomerates of conservatives we call the Republican Party. To have a conservative president was not enough. They wanted more.

Now, they have a new target. Justice John Roberts. Of course, there have been many targets but none as high profile as President Bush and Chief Justice Roberts. I think we can trace the mindset to Karl Rove type of politics is not to the man himself. He worked first in the Republican politics in Texas and then through his position under George W. Bush for a permanent majority at any cost! It introduced an era of ugly politics and I do not like it.
