A recent Fortune Magazine article has had wide repercussion. Reporter Katherine Eban carefully piled logs, branches, and kindling around the footings of Congressmen Darryl Issa trumpet up case against Attorneys General Eric Holder and much to their credit, the news media, fueled by human righteousness set on fire. Now we can set back and watch Issa and his fellow conspirators suffer the consequences.
Issa based his case against Holder entirely on false premises. The truth is Wayne LaPierre, of NRA disrepute, is walking on the edge of criminality. His organization seems to be aiding and abetting gun running to benefit members. Eban investigations clearly indicated ATF fault but in a way that suggests they acted at the behest of gunrunners.
