REAGAN CAUSED INCOME INEQUALITY

CNN, a news media giant will stage the up coming debate of Republican candidates at the Reagan Library. Every candidate on the stage will try to identify as the next Reagan. The media fills its continuous Republican biased coverage with two things. The first is that there is a debate and the second is that everyone will try to be Reagan. One of my favorite articles was by James Hohman, published in the Daily 202 with the title “Reagan has become a Rorschach Rorschard test”. The author makes the point that people look at an inkblot and, turn it into something that fits their warped individual personality. There is no question; Reagan was a disaster for the country; read my article on this blog site, Reagan Someone Else’s Hero. Every one of the candidates will disparage the government for its part in crating the obvious problem of income disparity. We all know Reaganomics or trickle down economics turned the country from a dynamic social democracy and put it on a the path to become a third plutocracy. We all know the Republican congress following the Reagan lean has been disastrous for the working class in America. We all know what happened to labor unions starting with the air traffic controllers strike. Of course, Reagan fired them all and put the country into an economic tailspin. A friend said it much better than I could ever say it. The remarkable thing is that he said it 10 years ago. I published the article on this blog site and now quote from that article, “The period between the time FDR took office and Reagan was elected saw America grow from a country devastated by the 1920s policies of Coolidge and Hoover to the most powerful, country in the world. Since then, with the exception of an amazing 8 year growth period under Clinton, we have had to live with the 19th century policies of Reagan and the Bushes.” The candidates will stand on the stage and claim to be Reagan-like but they should know that many real Americans know what that means; and it is not pretty.
