This thing with Iran and its nuclear weapons has a dark underside, the depth of which surprised me. I tuned into C-SPAN-2 last night and a man named Erick Stakebeck was speaking. An internet search reveals this man is a disciple of Christian Broadcasting Network, a television network founded by Pat Robertson.
What I heard this man say was shocking. His every utterance was a distortion of the facts. If you thought Netanyahu was distorting the facts, this guy was worse. For example, he recognized the objective of ISIS is to unite the Islamic World against the Christian world to create a major confrontation. He also recognizes that by the George W. Bush intervention in Iraq, we became the big Satan uniting the Islamic forces against us, and everyone in the area recognizes Israel as being the little Satan. In addition, he knows Sunnis are fighting Shiite. He puts all of this together and advocates we engage in the area fighting Iran; in other words, divert their attention of from fighting one another to unite “all” Islamist States against us.
The Obama vitriol drooled from his lips. As the above paragraph demonstrates, Stakebeck pointedly claimed not to understand the success of the Presidents current policy of “no boots on the ground” by ignoring it. Sunnis are fighting Shiite to clean up their own house of extremists; the West is tired of uniting Islamist against us and diverting or allowing their own internal faults to fester. None of this makes any sense until you figure out who will be the winner.
If we, by far the strongest nation in the world by trash Iran and unite the Islamic world in doing so, we are obligated to trash the entire Middle East—once we start we will not stop. When all the Muslim countries are smoldering rubble, only Israel will be strong. They will dominate over the Middle East as they now dominate over Palestine, which they have tied up like a disobedient dog that Netanyahu pokes with a sharp stick whenever he wants attention.
Stakebeck’s references to Neville Chamberlin, Churchill, Hitler, etc in terms of ISIS having a desire for world dominance fascinated me. Everything he claimed they were doing to gain that dominance is exactly what Israel is now engaged in doing. Netanyahu has mounted a huge propaganda Champaign to ally Republican, Christians, xenophobes who hate Muslims, and people like me who sympathize with Jewish suffering in the past as a result of unfounded anti-Semitism. Greed for religious power is why Israel is doing this. Why is Pat Robertson, a so-called Christian doing this? Wikipedia gives us the answer:

Erick Stakebeck and Christian Broadcast Network are just part of Israeli propaganda machine; believe them at your own peril!
