Republican policy is a serious problem for working Americans that needs to be attacked. Most liberals seem to want to take the Mahatma Gandhi
approach to solving bog problems that is use peaceful resistance. There are great
examples of the success using this approach, such as Martin Luther King;
equally, there are brutal example of failure of this approach. I, like most of
the world, clearly see the horror that eventual befell the Jews in Germany. After
our Nov. 4th drubbing, it may be time for us liberals to change our
approach. Of course, our beating in the election was not way near, or even close to the German situation; it is the concept I am referring to.
Personally, I hate ad hominem attacks; however, as disgraceful
as they were their personal attack on Obama worked and our fellow liberals. Attacks
on bad policy bore people while “juicy” personal attacks draw their interest,
it is like comparing the level of interest in a spelling bee compare to pornography.
Look what ad hominem attacks accomplished for the Republicans; they sold bad
policy on America. Even Democrats turned their back on their greatest president
ever, and much to their chagrin, those Democrats paid the price at polling
places. While the elections are over, and you know what, the radical
Republicans are keeping it up—and maybe intensifying their attacks—while we
seem to be setting around like Mahatma Gandhi waiting “for the next blow to
fall” and doing nothing. It reminds me of when Reagan turned the word ‘liberal’
into a dirty word: lazy, dirty, unwashed, longhaired, welfare queens, trolls
looking for a government handout.
As disgusting as it might be too many of us, it is time we
pick a few targets to vilify from among the Republicans. If every Democrat mounted
a few will-placed attacks on a few people, those few would be maligned but that
would spill over on to all Republicans;
it worked for them. For a start, I would suggest Mitch McConnell, John McCain, and
Ted Cruz. Of course, you know that McConnell is a stooge of the Koch brother; that McCain was the lowest in his class at Annapolis and
was know as McNasty by his classmates; and of course, you know that Cruz’s father
is a Cuban coward who ran from Cuba
rather than fight Castro.
