IRAQI RESCUE SORTED OUT

Congratulations Obama; your “operation rescue” in Iraq appears to have been successfully accomplished with under 1,000 boots. The armed branch of the loosely organized mob of religious fanatics named Islamic State of Iraq and Syria scheduled a religious sect, the Yaridis, for annilation, which constituted a humanitarian crisis. Think about the information the president had and the limitations on his activity by opposing political forces within the United States—most of us know that the only way we can be beat is from within. He did not even know if the threat was real or how Yardis fit into the morass of ethic and religion sects in the region. How many people were actually involved and from where ISIS had displaced them from and where and how many were there now? Were they rebels themselves—perhaps al Queda allies—looking for weapons? What would it take to rescue them and how should he do it? Drive ISIS forces away, evacuate the Yazidis and if so evacuate them to where.

The president set the policy, investigated with the military and state department, and with that information, he acted decisively. Sadly, Congress went on vacation and as they left, they mouthed condemnation of what Obama was doing. Of course, they had no idea of what he would do nor did they care; whatever it was the President would do, it would be wrong. By law, he advised congress of what he was doing but they paid little attention. The American people will not blame them for doing nothing but I am here to tell you they should; they should condemn Congress for doing nothing by voting the Republican majority out of office, which would be a way of giving the President high praise for doing things right. Can anyone guess what bomb, bomb, McCain would have done or Mitt Romney would have taken over and sold for a profit, or how the bungling stumbling

Bush and his neo-con, military-industrialist advisors would have figured out what was going on in the region. I could not have guessed how Obama would handle the situation before he did it but I trust him to do the right thing—Obama is the president I want and the kind of president this country needs.
