TREACHERY IN REPUBLICAN SILENCE

The big news out of Washington Republican Party is that they do not want to tell the American people what they are going to do when the control both houses of Congress. Instead, what they want to do is continue with their hate the government campaign because it is working. There relentless and groundless hate Obama campaign is working. The fact they will not tell the American people what they plan, should be headlines because it tells the people that if they knew what Republicans were planning for this country they would not vote for them to control congress.

Working people in North Carolina, Wisconsin, Kansas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, etc learned that  the hard way; Republicans trashed health care, trashed the environment, trashed unions, trashed public education, trashed voting rights, trashed welfare, trashed unemployment insurance, and collective bargaining. They trashed secular law, replaced it with biblical law, and called that religious freedom. Isn’t there a definition of insanity that says, “doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?”

They turned the country into the old Wild West, which is a circular firing squad with everyone owning guns. Suddenly, it is somehow OK to steal grazing rights from the government. It is OK if climate goes to hell. It is OK to dump massive amounts of money into the military while decreasing its utility—we should not ask where the money is going. Increased taxes on the poor and decreased them on the rich—if you don’t believe that look at income disparity, minimum wage, tax breaks for millionaires and corporations.

Deregulate everything. Corporate regulations are there to prevent them from cheating people, trashing the environment, etc. Did not we just see deregulation of Fannie May and Freddie Mac trash the housing market? How can it be that you believe when they deregulate everything “things” will get better—no they won’t. I do not understand it; it seems we cannot help ourselves; we want “things” to go to hell.
