It looks like we Democrats
are going to be “handed our head in a hand basket” in the up coming election.
It is a replay of what happened in #North Carolina when Gov. #McCrory was
elected by 11.4 point spread. Some of us warned the people what they would get by
electing McCrory but obviously, the voters did not listen. The sad truth is
that the predictions we accurate, “spot on.” The only conclusion possible is that “they” got what they deserved.
The sad truth is that all the people are paying the price. Our water bills have
gone up 19%, our electric bill have gone up 17%, our progressive income taxes have
fallen and have been replace by a non progressive sales tax, our schools have
been decimated, our teachers have suffered from serve salary cuts, and our environment
has gone to hell. Industries are move into the state but they do not pay for
roads, police, property taxes but we pay for these things. More jobs added but at
lower wages. A private corporation is openly taking over the State Department
of Commerce, The Republican Party controls all state regulatory agencies
including the boards of election; with voter ID, gerrymandering, big dollar control
of media, and control of election boards we no longer have free and fair election
in our state. School boards are restoring segregation is public schools. The
people are not controlling school boards; the Republican Party is controlling
them. If you are inclined to say it cannot be as bad as all of this implies, I challenge you to tell me where I am wrong;
point out just one statement that is not true.

As I keep asking, are you sorry you voted for McCrory? The answer is no, our income tax has
fallen.
As goes the State, so goes the Nation. Everyone in this Nation
should know what would happen when Republicans take over the government: income
disparity will increase, poverty across the nation will increase markedly; civil
rights advances reversed. The pentagon will flourish and we will have several
wars: Syria, Afghanistan, back to Iraq and maybe into Iran. A new cold war will
“break out” with Russia. The nation debt will sky rocket again (off the books) as
it did under Bush. We will move into Venezuela to get “our oil fields” back. Industry
will exploit our environment for immediate gain and to hell with the future;
that is what it means when they say they want to destroy the EPA. Our climate
will continue to deteriorate. Wall Street investors will be skimming of the top
of “all” our retirement saving and the plans will be subject to the whims of
the market; that it what it means when they say they will privatize the social
security. Education will be only for those who can afford it or put in the
hands of radical science denying evangelical Christians; that is what it means
when they say they will privatize education.
Why do voters refuse to believe them when they say they are
going to do? Do voters not realize that after Republicans destroy their
government there is chaos? This idea of “everyone
being free” to do as they please is an ugly over played myth? They are
bending the meaning of freedom to the point of breaking it. Do they realize
what a Republican entrepreneur means they speak of individual freedom? It is
the greatest bait and switch game ever played on the American people and they
fall for it and apparently vote accordingly. What are you willing to trade for
your personal right to own a gun; how about the right of industry to do any
thing they want to make money? Do you really think the right to own a gun is equivalent
to the right for someone else to use child labor if you want? Do you think the
right to choose to ride a motorcycle with or without a helmet is the same as being
able to choose if you want to ventilate a coal mineshaft to save money? I want the
freedom to dump coal ash in a river so I convince you that the government is
bad by taking way my right to do so. Do workers not realize that the only free enterprise
is going to be labor, as monopolistic trusts manage that market and manipulate
it to have workers groveling for a low paying job? Remember you cannot take back
your vote once you cast it; in fact if you are black and live in North
Carolina, you may not get a chance to cast another vote.
