STATE OF UNION RESPONSE

I listen to the President deliver his State of the Union speech tonight. What class! Our president is without question holding him self above the fray. He did not do what I would have done, which would have been to attack the Republicans for their lack of effort to do what the American people want on issue after issue: gun control, tax loopholes, corporate subsidies, health care, taxes, etc. All that proves is he is a gentlemen in a situation where he probably shouldn’t be. He is not dealing with people who are not looking for fairness. He will not receive kindness back for kindness shown. The Republicans are without good manners or great social sophistication. The best I can figure is that they see his offer to negotiate as weakness, which opens him to further attacks. Anyone want to bet? Will they negotiate and help the president make things better or will they keep on trashing their own country for what they see as political advantage?
