TED CRUZ AND TEA PARTY REDEMPTION

Ted Cruz and his extreme right-wing cronies have burnt their house down and are now looking for sympathy because they are homeless. No one wants them. There is no salvation.

Like Marco Rubio, Cruz is a first generation Cuban American. Even the Latino community does not want them. Apparently, his politics was born out of his father’s political excesses: hate for American supported Batista’s right wing excesses followed by hate for Fidel Castro’s left wing excesses. They certainly were households filled with anti Americanism generated from parental hate for America’s support of Batista but hate for America’s lack of resolve in destroying Castro. The side that won in their minds is the same side that won in the mind of Ayn Rand; affiliation generated from right wing America’s opposition to these two left wing dictators.

The politics of these people are not the same as other Latinos originating from Central and South America.  There are few right-wingers for these countries but the great majority of the people are fiscally left-wingers; however, the Catholic Church has placed some of them in the social conservative camp. The common language makes them appear as a monolith and both politicians used that fact, but it was especially significant in Texas, with the strong Mexican influence in a statewide race. Even though the Latino vote is on the left, right wing Cruz benefited from his Spanish heritage. In Florida, Spanish voters are mostly right wing Cubans.

With the recent, much published Cruz led fiscal shenanigans in Washington, the Spanish community knows what it means to have a right wing senator representing them, and they do not like it.

Main line conservatives do not like the public wrath Cruz leadership of the Tea party caucus has brought down on them. Those from marginal districts will have trouble in talking people into reelecting them. Perhaps, Cruz feels protected by Father Time because he is in his first year of a six-year term and he knows that public memory is short. His cohorts are with out exception from gerrymandered districts dominated by right wing voters.

The obvious thing that seems overlooked by these people is they act as they would act if they were the majority in the entire country and the American people overwhelmingly reject their philosophy. They are pushing baseline Republican philosophy and not the disguised form that got McCrory elected in North Carolina, Scott Walker elected in Wisconsin, or Snyder in Michigan. By revealing what Republicanism really is, Ted Cruz and his Tea Party are making the people hate the Republican brand no matter where we find it: city, country, state or nation. My translation of all of this is that the Latino community does not want them, the main line republicans do not want them and the American People do not want them.

The only people who care about homeless people are the Democrats and I do not think that even they want to help you because you burnt down your own house. Ted Cruz, you are without redemption.
