TEA PARTY OBJECTIVE; DESTROY GOVERNMENT

I hear the same thing repeatedly; compromise, or don’t compromise. Some even go so far as to say the President is a bad or weak leader because he is not reaching out to the GOP. The missing link in all this rhetoric, the thing that makes it empty rhetoric, is that the Tea Party people who have the congress by the throat do not want to compromise. They want to destroy the government, which is so redial no on believes it. Anarchy is not an option.The president or any other sane person can do nothing that would appease them.

As a hypothetical, suppose Obama said and congress agreed to destroy Obamacare, the Tea Party would be disappointed because that is not what they want. I repeat they will never compromise with anything because they want to destroy the government. You cannot compromise with insanity. What this means is that they believed all of their own radical right wing rhetoric; the government is bad and we would live better without it—unadulterated stupidity. The Grover Norquist story line of hate the government for taxing us—the “no more taxes” mantra—has gotten out of control. We have to blame Karl Rove, as well, for his skill in telling lies to promote political gain of the greedy big money donors. Most of all we have to blame the people who believe these lies for the crisis in Washington D.C. These people voted the insane faction in to their positions; they want to burn down their own house and then claim to be homeless. The bottom line is they have no idea of what it means to be homeless. To find out, all they have to do is go outside the “hallowed halls of congress” and talk to some of the people who sleep on warm grates—their policies put them there.
