INHOFE IS OKLAHOMA EDUCATION FAILURE

Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma was on +Morning Joe (MSNBC) in classic fashion for members of his party, he was blaming +President Obama for what Republicans have done. He says we should attack Syria but we don’t have the military capability to do so because Obama, not even giving him the respect of addressing him as President Obama, just Obama, has ruined the military. As ranking member of the Senate Armed Forces Committee, he should know that we have, by far, the most powerful military in the world — how could he not know this. How could he not know about the Republican cuts to taxes and sequestration?

I am interested in education and spend a great deal of time grappling with problems of education failure. +James Inhofe represents one of those failures. His public pronouncements are twisted, irrational, and have no foundation. He often cloaks his words with malice toward Obama as if to call attention away from what he is actually saying. He is a product of the Oklahoma school system. He received a BA degree from the University of Tulsa when he was 39 years old. As one of many other examples of his ignorance, his stance on global warming is well known. He is a “science denier”. How can a college graduate be a science denier? Because the University of Tulsa awarded him a degree, it has to be college failure and not just his lack of intellectual capability.

Do the people of Oklahoma have so little pride in their state that they go along with his kind of obvious nonsense? I tried to rationalize their lack of concern by saying he tells them one thing while campaigning and tells the nation something else but in modern America with its media, this does not seem possible. They have to know his pronouncements can only be explained by his ignorance—his lack of education.  There can be another explanation. The only answer seems to be that the voters in that state are as ignorant as he is.

The people of Oklahoma have elected this guy to represent them numerous time. He represented them in the state legislature, in the U.S. House of Representative, and since 1994 in the U.S. Senate. He is ranking member of the Armed Service Committee in that body. There repeated election of this ignorant man has given him power, not because of intelligence but because of seniority. No wonder the public rates Congress so low; even cockroaches and head lice have higher ratings. Makes you wonder how Inhofe’s approval ratings compares in ratings to cockroaches and head lice in Oklahoma. From the voting history, I guess cockroaches could be elected to congress and perhaps even get a bachelor of art degree from the University of Tulsa.
