INTRODUCING TOM TILLIS OF NORTH CAROLINA

Republican audacity hit its peak in the form of Tom Tillis, Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives. He is now collecting money to run against incumbent Senator Kay Hagan.
What is his record? In brief, he has trashed the state of North Carolina.
He claims success because he was able to override multiple vetoes by Democratic Governor Perdue. In the background there were and still are questions about excessive severance packages he paid to several staff members who resigned.  His chief of staff and policy advisers both had affairs with lobbyists. With Art Pope money, the people reelected him. The shadow of suspicion once again fell over his career when the Charlotte Observer called for him to resign citing several conflicts of interests, of his missing important legislative work, and the appearance of pay-to-play appoints to the UNC Board of Governors. There is this thread of under-the-table financial dealings running though his career—using his elected positions to make him a power broker. If you think that was bad, look at his legislative career.
Then the 2012-2013 North Carolina legislative sessions happened. He led the charge to trash voters rights with the worst laws in the nation; he is responsible for denying workers their unemployment insurance; he is responsible for trashing education with a voucher system; he is responsible for raising taxes on the poor and working class by increasing a sales tax; he is giving away the states assets to corporations; he is responsible for raising tax rates, and on, and on, and on.
Now, this greedy little man, with a pocket full of Art Pope money, this same guy thinks the people of North Carolina should thank him for ruining their state by electing him to the Senate of the United States. OMG—the audacity.
