IRAN ELECTION AND OBAMA POLICY

The results of the Iranian election have vindicated the Obama policy of peace through negotiations and not war. Remember the mocking tone in the 2008 campaign when the GOP ridiculed Obama for wanting to negotiate without pre-conceived solution on the table such as tough guy John McCain was demanding of Iran that they “agree to give up their atomic program and do what we say, then we will talk about you giving up your nuclear program”. It was not tough; it was stupid. This election proves the people of Iran are right.  No sane person wants war.  Both the Iranians and the people of the United States McCain, McNasty as he should rightfully be called, has been repudiated but he still does not seem to “get it”. He gets on TV with his sing-song bomb, bomb, and bomb.

Every country in the Middle East seems to be headed in one direction, that is away from caliphates and toward democracy. Most recently, the people from Turkey join the tidal wave: Tunisia, Egypt, and Syria among others. Each is moving in the same direction and in its own way, and at there own pace. Obama is saying, the United States will help but we do not want to be involved with Muslims killing Muslims, Israelis killing Muslims or visa versa and certainly not with Christians killing Muslims as the likes of Congressman Steve King from Iowa suggests.

Obama, keep up the good work.
