SENATORS DISRESPECT HAGEL AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE

Chuck Hagel got the nod of approval from the Armed Forces Committee in a 14 to 11 vote cast along a party line vote. This is important. I am confident the full Senate will confirm his appointment. Still, the committee hearings will forever be a black mark against the Republican Party, especially Lindsey Graham and John (McNasty) McCain. Their conduct was unbecoming for a persons elected by the American People to such a high office; they represent entire States but act like undisciplined children.

I watched on TV as these two smiling senators shaking hands at the President’s State of the Union address. I am sorry I cannot trust them; were they being hypocrites during the committee hearings or were they being hypocrites at the SOTU? Apparently, they do what they do and act the way they act to show disrespect for the President. In so doing, they show great disrespect for the American People who have just elected the man for four more years. I am sorry but I have no respect for John McCain or Lindsey Graham but, like a mentally challenged individual with an assault weapon, I do fear them; they can do a great deal of harm to a lot of people in a short period of time with their vote. What is scarier is that they passed their background checks when the American people in their respective states elected them to office.
