Jim DeMint is leaving his South Carolina Senate to become the
president of the American Heritage Foundation—over one million dollars a year
salary. He stands for everything wrong with the conservative movement. From
human rights considerations to foreign relations, he has done nothing good for America.
He led the caucus against the U.N. American
Disability Act. He declared stopped the appointment of excellent nominees to
high-level Obama government appointments. He sponsored and financed radical
candidates in down ballot elections. He was instrumental in overthrowing the
dually elected President of Hondurans and installing an appointed president. The
list of his evil doing seems endless. All I can say is good riddance. The
tragedy is for the Heritage Foundation, which up until now has been a
conservative think tank. I never agreed with their proposals but at least they
were not Tea Party radical. It saddens me to know that now it will change.
