Speaker Boehner has a decision to make. Will he choose his country over his job; the country verses the speakership. If he agrees with Obama to what is needed to in the way of tax revenues to save the economy of the country he will lose his job. Nonetheless, he could bring the tax issue to a vote, which would pass but there would be grave consequences for him. Eric Cantor, the modern day Brutus, and his friends will knife him on the spot but there will be 300 million Americans watching. Sure, he would lose his job but only for a while. All we can dream is that he will make the right choice and wish that the American people would respond by removing the T-Party types from office, which would make him a true American hero and eventually restore him back to power.
I believe that if he attempts to remove Cantor and his crazy T-Party friends from all committees in a quick and decisive way, the move would make him the leader of reasonable conservatives, which far outnumber the radicals, and restore this country back to political normalcy. Of course, if he brought the tax issue to a vote, the way things are right now he would fail to change anything in the House of Representative power structure because the radical minority will not allow it to happen. However, the attempt would draw the admiration of most Americans thus would result in power over the RNC, which would dump Reince Priebus as chair. The donor money would no longer fund the dirty politics of Karl Rove, and on and on. I do not know if I could stand see liberals treating Boehner as a hero but I love my country enough to tolerate it.
