SAFEST PLACE IN THE WORLD

The Benghazi situation is sure to come up in the presidential debate tomorrow night. There is no doubt in my mind that the Republicans will try to use that tragedy to their political advantage.  I think the truth is that riots had been taking place in multiple locations in Islamic nations and were taking place in Benghazi as well. I also think nefarious elements in Benghazi took advantage of the riots to stage an organized attack on our Embassy. However, that is not the real focus of this blog. Rather, the focus is on a Wayne LaPierre and his NRA philosophical point. Yes, we can analyze the impact his type thinking had in Libya. Everyone who wants to have a gun in Libya can have a gun.  If everyone has guns, they would be safe. If that was true, Benghazi would be the safest place in the world. The real tragedy is the impact his thinking is having in our American cites.
