Reince Priebus appeared on a disastrous TV show hosted by George Stephanopoulos. Instead of asking how Priebus could know that was the case without seeing Romney’s tax returns he tried to make news. He wanted Priebus to verify what he said by making him repeat it. The fact that the head of the Republican Nation Committee is an Ayn Rand disciple, which means he is living a political lie by hiding an association with her, continues to perpetuate their agenda with vicious lies is no surprise.
He shared program time, at the behest of George, with the top Republican liar of all times. That would be Ann Coulter. I had forgotten about her after I read one of her books that the New York Times listed in its bestseller list. The book was horrible: poorly written, poorly produce and without merit. I was going to add poorly researched but there wasn’t a single fact that could have been researched. Also, there was not one rational conclusion in the entire book. In addition to wiping her off my list of people to follow, I also stopped reading the NY Times “best seller lists—it was obviously a plant. I could do what she did by saying things as she appeared to be unwashed or I would hate to have to look at her in a bikini. I won’t say or write those things because I have never been near her nor have I seen her in a bathing suite of any kind but then Priebus has not seen Romney’s tax returns. That did not stop them from trying to trash Reid, who has.
I do the only thing I can do avoid Stephanopoulos, Ann Coulter, and Priebus. I have a policy about knowing reasonable opponents but it is getting harder and herder to find a reasonable Republican; one who tells the truth, says what s/he believes, is driven by a workable policy, etc, etc, etc.
