Selection of a Paul Ryan for the VP slot was like Romney putting
a “Young Gun”
to his temple and pulling the trigger—it is political suicide. Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, Jon Johnson, Reince Priebus, Michelle Bachman, Jim DeMint and all other radical politicians are labeled by the American people as radical politician for a reason. They want to change the political dynamic to favor the selfish. Ayn Rand, the author of The Virtues of Selfishness their political philosophy but it is not “the” American Political philosophy. No one teaches his or her children to be selfish. The fact that a few children grow up to be selfish adults, as the above list of politician illustrates, I take as evidence that nature and not nurture is the dominate force in our political lives. The voting booth is where politics and science cross paths. The people in our society, who vote for selfish people, are selfish people. Selfish people are in the great minority as the 1% verses the 99% debate so dramatically illustrates.

Republicans learned a great lesion in Wisconsin governor’s
race and so should the altruistic or democratic members of our society learn as
well. Scott Walker was elected to the governor chair because he did do tell the
truth during the campaign; he said he was going to cut the deficit but did not
say how. They learned to lie. Once elected, he did things that the people did
not know he was going to do: destroy unions, fire teachers, and firemen, for
example. They learned their mistake and attempted to recall him but attempt
failed. The reason the recall failed was due to the great amounts of money from
Charles and David Koch (Citizens United) to buy media time. They learned they
could buy an election.
Ryan, before he was a VP candidate, he and other Tea Party people revealed what they want to cut the deficit by destroying all social programs. Unlike Scott Walker, we learned what he stands for. Paul Ryan, like his conservative colleagues before him, voted for every Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush spending spree that put us into to debt the debt crisis. We learned that because of the economic collapse of 2008. They did it for one reason as Naomi Klein points out in her book Shock Doctrine; in a crisis, government can do things the American people would normally reject. They are trying to trash every welfare and New Deal program we have, but more important, they want to make the government so small they can “drag it into the bath room and drown it in the tub.” The 1% Wall Street crowd would be in charge—kiss regulation good-bye, in fact kiss democracy good-bye. The Paul Ryan nomination is political suicide unless the American People allow the Citizens United ruling to control their vote that is vote as they buy toothpaste or breakfast cereal; buy the last brand they saw on television. We must learn the lesson of Wisconsin?
