The next part of their commentary this morning, something
they nodded their heads to each other in agreement, was that they want
deregulation. This means they want to be able to lie, cheat, and steal to get
the money and do not want a big government “of the people, by the people, and
for the people” watching— with no tax revenue, the government cannot afford to
watch. What could send a clearer message
to the American Voter? I know and you know that 99% of the people do not want what they propose so they will not
tell them but they will tell it to one another.

GOP TAMPA MESSAGE TO EACH OTHER BUT NOT TO YOU
The GOP convention in Tampa could turn out to be a great
learning experience for the people of the United States. On FOX News talking
heads, when the microphones are open, tell you what they think will advance
their agenda and not what they truly think and feel. The same is true of
interviews with politicians. You only hear what they think will help them. I realized
this morning that in a room where they think only Republicans are listening to
Republicans it is different. Liberal can learn from TAMPA. They duel
one another in how far they want to shift to the right. In other words, they
tell the truth about where they want to go politically and the picture is not
pretty for the poor and the middle class. Ron Johnson and Grover Norquist, for example,
laid it all out. They want to cut taxes, which they say will cause business flourish
that is increase growth. Think about that for a minute; if GDP goes up and taxes
goes down, “where does all the money go”. I call this the Reagan Gap. It is
supply side economics. There is no money for teachers, firefighters, police, roads,
damns, high-speed rail or any infrastructure development, nothing that might do
the general-public any good. It shifts the money from the community to the
individual.
