THE ROAD TO RUIN IS DE-REGUALTION

It seems almost trite to ask, why we have government regulations. We have and need regulations because many among us are willing to lie, cheat, and steal with impunity to satisfy their greed. Credit card fraud, mortgage companies writing loans they knew the people who received the loan could not pay them, or cheating on IPOs such as the Facebook fraud just perpetuated on the American people, etc, etc, etc.

Conservatives innately know this is wrong. They know the economic collapse of our country—I say ours because it is your country too—under a Republican president twho openly advocated deregulation. In spite of all of this, they vote for candidates that call for smaller government meaning DE-REGULATION. Conservatives still call for smaller government; get the government out of our lives. Why, so you can steal more. Joe Scarborough of Morning Joe on MSNBC regularly says he is a “small government conservative” yet he is quick to say the government should do something about this or that kind of fraud or business malfeasance. Aside from sending hurtful zingers toward President Obama from time to time, he seems like a nice guy. I would like to ask Joe over a cup of coffee just to see if deregulation is what he really wants. Like all Conservatives, he will answer that he mean keeping only regulations that make sense but beware, he will never tell you what makes sense to him.  Does he have some other reason for voting against regulation such as it is in genes; is it like breathing, they have to do it even if it is not rational.
