PROTECT OUR POST OFFICE
Republicans control congress; the reason they do is that you didn’t vote. Simple! You let a small group of radicals elect your leaders. Shrug and say it doesn’t make any difference, but it does. It really does.
We have to admit that political operatives have corrupted our government. Not only is this a fact, but we know precisely how they do it. We know how they corrupted the Supreme Court, the Citizens United Decision, Koch Brothers, and the Karl Rove story in detail. We know how the Koch brothers buy popularity with philanthropy as easy as they buy congressional representatives with campaign contributions. We know the counter arguments used by conservatives, which is there are liberal crooks as well. We know the culprit in corruption is the Republican Party with the weak counter argument that the voters are bipartisan meaning 50 Republicans and one Democrat votes with them leaving the logical conclusion that the entire vote was bipartisan. On, on, and on the ridiculous arguments continue.
Why does it matter? It matters because the greedy few want power over many, which is the driving force of politics. It is a cruel scheme of wasting the needy, the worst form of social Darwinism, extended to survival of the “economic” fittest; Ayn Rand cleverly covered up simply by ignoring poverty, the inevitable consequences of greed. This brings us back full circle to the fact that “we the flag waving people in the United States of America, believe in democracy, which includes the most sever government critic. We are willing to fight to the death to defend our system of democracy, which means we will fight to maintain corruption under the name of a tough idol, John Wayne individualism. It seems ridiculous to have to point out that they each of us, sees ourselves as individuals, want the power to make more money, which makes us all Republicans.
There are thousands and thousands of issues involved. The classic example is the United States post office that is under attack by Republican greed. Why should congress “not” be privatized it? United Parcel Service, Federal Express, and DHL can do it. Because there is profit, which means “mail” deliveries cost more but free enterprise controls pricing and offsets greed. All of this is music to the ears of Republicans, who see no down side; however, there is a serious downside for the people Ayn Rand wants you to ignore. Good business says that UPS, FedEx, and DHL, will not delivery envelopes and packages if the cost of delivery is more than the profit. There are thousand upon thousands of individual homes in isolated areas; it would cost money to send a truck with one envelope to these remote villages and farms. The United States Postal Service makes deliveries or maintains post offices in these places that cost money supplied from fees collected in densely populated areas something private companies would never do; it would hurt their profits, which is the only reason for owning a delivery service. Having mail delivered in rural areas is the benefit of collectivism. It is not driven by profit!!! Did I mention that conservatives referred to “collectivism” as socialism or even dreaded communism? Did I mention that the extreme radicals, Ted Cruz, Marko Rubio, and Ayn Rand, the leaders who are dragging Republicans around by the nose, all fled communist nations? Therefore, the congressional drive to shut down the postal service is driven by hate not profit as you might suppose. The sad fact is that they have the votes because you didn’t.
