The subject I am addressing in this post is the malfeasance in
office of the entire Republican congress; both Senate and House of Representatives
together. They vote in a block, which means they do not represent the people who
elected them. Verification for this position is common knowledge; as we know, for
everyone in any group of American people to agree on any subject is impossible.
We also know there is a disparity between statewide vote tallies and individual
legislative districts tallies; statewide vote tallies tend to, but not
invariably, favor Democrats while tallies of voting by legislative districts results
tend to favor Republicans. This is clearly the result of gerrymandering
districts; the piling of Democratic voters into large districts and distributing
Republican voters into more multiple small districts; thus, increasing the
number of Republican districts. At first, this results in control of state
legislatures but Democratic control of federal legislative districts. Control
of state legislative districts gives Republicans the power needed to suppress Democratic
voters and increase gerrymandering to give more control of states. One serious
consequence of this is evident in the call by Republicans to hate the federal
government and give states control of all laws, which is saying reward us for
corrupting our one-man one-vote democracy.
My hope is that the American people realize that the political
party system has changed drastically from representing both conservatives and
liberals on an economic basis.
Progressives believe the government should help people in their everyday lives and be willing to pay taxes to do it verses the “conservative” belief that the government should only do for people what they can not do for ourselves such as organize and pay for an army and to delivery the mail, which means taxes are minimal. Political operatives based their campaigns social issues while hiding the true economic issues, which is the foundation of the “tax and spend democrats” and the “fiscally responsible Republicans”. Of course, the debates centers on the fact that we can not have both; no one wants to pay taxes but everyone wants all the benefits of “big” government: social security, Affordable health care, regulations of banks, etc, etc. This is exactly where the political debate in America was before the Republicans corrupted the system. I do blame that party for corrupting the system. If you are of a different mindset, then defend yourself. I can name many things the current Republican Party has done to corrupt our constitution but I have a hard time finding just one thing that Democrats have done to corrupt democracy or destroy individual rights or prevent “equal opportunity for all individuals—rich or poor, male of female, black or white. We need to turn back to the “Constitution” that mandates “we the people”, both conservatives and liberals, are in charge. We need to restore that debate.

What has happened is
that the people have lost control and the power is now in the hands of the economic
elite, THEY ARE NOT CONSERVATIVES, THEY ARE EXCESSIVELY GREEDY; we are moving
at rocket speed toward being a plutocracy. We fought the revolutionary war to
free ourselves from royalty and put us on the rise and now we are rapidly replacing
one kind of royalty with another that will clearly put us in a fall—the title
will read “The Rise and Fall of the United
States”. It will be on the New York Times bestseller list in the world but
not in New York because only 1% will have enough money to buy it. Soon, we must
recognize the reality of what is happening and who is responsible and abort it
before it is born or forever wonder how we allowed excessive greed of a few to turn
us into a third world country where all the money is at the top; rightfully, we
should name it Reagan-astan; land of Reagan.
