The figures are startling; seldom have we been able to see
the Republican agenda for North Carolina in clearer terms. I can scream to high
heaven that Paul Ryan is a Ayn Rand disciple but that seems to mean nothing but
I hope this post does! As a child, Ryan survived on welfare. His budget makes
that clear that he doesn’t remember that.
As many people on Facebook, who are working people that
somehow claim to be compassionate, think they are rich, and vote Republican. One
fellow posts three or four hate messages a day but sprinkles in a few pictures
of grand children and now and again something that would indicate how nice it
is to be Godly; I saw that even on Easter between hate messages. They are
neither rich or compassionate: they shoot themselves in the foot with their
vote.
In North Carolina, under the Ryan budget, 5,199 millionaires
would get $87,000 tax break while you as a middle class family will have to pay
a tax increase of $2000—of course, you have seen the TV ads telling you the
Republican have lowered taxes. They are so filled with compassion that they
will make 148,288 seniors pay more for drugs. The Republican pro-education
stance is demonstrated by knowing that 16,880 students will no get Pell grants—no
education. There are 1,155 domestic violence victims would lose access to the Stop Violence Against Women Program. Perhaps
women don’t count for them; but also they show your distain for children by
removing 3,790 children from Head Start. If they don’t like old people, and women,
don’t like children, and don’t like students who in hell do they like?
