This morning someone said something of real significance on
Steve Kronacki’s show UP (MSNBC). He said of the Iowa caucus; If the media is there, the politicians will
show up.
This brings up the question, “How much of the political scene
is drive by the media?” How much of what politicians say attracts media
attention verses how much of what they say, is said to attract attention. The
recent Rand Paul filibuster would be a good case in point; HE SAID NOTHING.
