STUDENT DEBT SENTENCE

I run across a “play on words” in a Kirsten Gellibrand piece that seems accurate yet filled with what seems to be an appropriate sentiment. The average student debt is around $27,000 for college graduates. On top of this, there is the “bank braking” interest.

Why are college students in so much difficulty financially? As a liberal, I put the blame directly and solely on the backs of the Republican lawmakers with a measure of responsibility on liberal swing voter. These are people, who vote Republican, because of social issues such as abortion, gay rights, voter ID, and other racial issue. Of course there and those who are just pain stupid enough to believe, they can have everything without paying for it. They can be called the Grover Norquist “no more taxes and refuse to cut corporate welfare.

Cutting taxes cause states to cut educational allotments to colleges. Colleges raise tuition to pay for buildings and professors to do research and bring in more grant money and ignore teaching in the process. Rather than increase grants to students the government raises interest rates so that lending institutions can make more money. They do not stop there; Republicans write legislation to guarantee student loans written to students to insure that taxpayers’ shoulder the responsibility for students’ loan defaults. Republican greed knows no bounds. If I said anything that is not true or accurate, tell me what it is. The fact that no one will admit this is true, is just another example of why I scratch my head in amazement that anyone would vote for such a greedy policy.

Don’t the people know it is their own children that are suffering? Don’t they understand that all Republican candidates who think dinosaur farts cause global warming and the earth was made 5,000 years ago, that gay people cause tornadoes, and they women cannot get pregnant if raped unless they wanted to be raped, at least the ones who are not witches. Don’t they realize that the Koch brothers with lies about Obamacare are playing them like puppets and that Obama caused Russia to take Crimea, and that Obama is coming after your guns, and on and on? Did you know that the president is building concentrations camps and buying up all the ammunition and food supply so you can’t have it. Stupid stuff! Don’t they realize or care that Darryl Issa wants to destroy the post office?  Don’t you wonder to whom these people are listening? I wonder why a woman of my acquaintance said that Glenn Beck was a smart man. Can you imagine that?
