Never has the Republican strategy been clearer. The House of
Representatives approved an increase in a debt ceiling without getting
something from the Democrats in return and they are madder than h___. What they
really mean is that they had a chance of getting their kicks by hurting the
working poor and missed it. Everyone knows the standard conservative approach
to politics; create a problem, then complain loudly and bitterly about it, and
then offer to solve the problem for a price. This time they got nothing.

As Joe Scarborough (MSNBC) explains almost every morning, he
is a “small government conservative” and Democrats are wasteful big government spenders.
Does he really think we don’t know what is going on? Under Republicans, the government
becomes larger and spending increases; this is a historically provable truth.
It got so bad under George W. Bush that even some Republicans were complaining.
Joe and people like him will never tell
you that Democratic spending is for the welfare of the people and that Republican
spending is for corporation welfare and not for a balanced budget. He will
not say that that corporate tax cuts are directly responsible for the budget
short fall while Republicans rub it in with increase corporate farm and oil
companies subsides. Worst of all, he will not say that the Iraqi war was fought
on borrowed money from China that congress never approved or say that many corporation
do not pay taxes or that their lobbyist salaries are tax deductable.
Republicans wanted to use the debt crises they created to
cut the benefits of workers. They blame it on Obamacare, which actually saves
money and creates job, and they want to blame it on social security that the
workers who collect it pay for what the collect. They want to blame it on food
stamps that feed the poor created by a non-livable minimum wage. Do you think
Joe doesn’t knows that government welfare is massively subsidizing companies who
pay low wages?
The working poor are down as income disparity clearly shows and
in the republican mind these people deserve to have the successful punish them
for not being successful as well. Republicans are angry, but why? Are they angry
for not using that chance to kick poor people they are down; make me wonder.
