CHRIS CHRISTIE ONGOING CORRUPTION

The fact that there was a suspicion the State Assembly would not grant a committee’s subpoena power over the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey during the next legislative session is very, very troublesome because it indicates the corruption is not over. Couple this with the treatment that the Democratic Party afforded governor candidate Barbara Buono in the last election to see how deep the corruption goes. She was a high ranking Democrat in state government and had a long history of party achievements; however, when she filed to run against Christie as governor, she was met with a blank stare from the State as well as the nation Democratic Party.  When she placed calls to leading Democrats for campaign funding support there was a uniform response; we will give up to $300 but not more. The reason was obvious; if they give more than $300 the donor would be identified by name. The answer to the question of what they were scared of should be equally obvious. They were afraid of Governor Christ Christie.

He had repeatedly demonstrated he was not above destroying people. Most politicians turn their back on people who refuse to vote for them but that is not Christie’s way. He punished them in the most serve way, even cruel, he possible could. He would use his power as governor to take away their lively hood and even viciously destroy a non-supporter career. In the lawless third world politic power is maintained by fear; Naomi Klein’s book, Shock Doctrine , goes a long way to explain this principle. The true Chris Christie is a far cry from the penitent governor that stood before the people of New Jersey an apologized, apologized, apologized . . . If you believe that he was remorseful, you have fallen for his deception. He was contrite only because the stupidity of his subordinates exposed his vicious attempt to punish a Senator who did not vote for him. Coming off the remarkable landslide victory over Buono, I am sure that his subordinates felt invincible; they had the power to do what ever they wanted because of their success in corrupting the Democratic Party leadership. The concern over Democratic leadership removing committee subpoena power has the same basis—they must have reason to be scared of Gov. Christie—he is still has the power of governor’s office. In his mind, I believe that he sincerely believes that he vindicated himself with his profuse apologies and by “bravely and boldly” stepping forward to take responsibility for closing the bridge. I did not hear him apologize; all I heard was a mean dishonest politician clearly saying that he didn’t do the “dirty work” and if you do not agree, he will destroy you and your career.
