FRUSTRATED LIBERAL

Some days are good days and some days are bad days. Today is a bad day.

Voter suppression is working. The corrupt Supreme Courts decision to put American democracy in the hands of the economic elite is working. The gerrymandering of legislative districts is working. The corruption of the Senate and the House of Representative by a Tea Party minority is working. Blaming President Obama for the lack of legislation is working. The future of the working class in the Untied States looks bleak. They are succeeding into turning Washington D C into a Duck Dynasty, which is what they did with Raleigh, N.C. As Thom Tillis, Republican legislator who helped destroyed “free” North Carolina brags that they have the “losers whining”. I have never felt more like a loser than I do now.

The taxes for corporations in our state are going down. Public funding for schools, including the universities, has fallen drastically. Utility costs are going down for industry and going up for homeowners; not by just a little bit by a whole lot. The government has destroyed public service unions. The crooked governor, Pat McCrory has no checks on his behavior. He has taken over the public service commissions and worst of all he has taken over the boards of election across the state. He can look you right in the eye and lie with out blinking. He appears to be a sociopath, for example, he says we need voter ID laws because of voter fraud, while admitting that there is no significant voter fraud—this is not just double talk; it is a way of bragging to his Republican backers that he is discriminating based on voters beliefs. He is telling Art Pope that he is doing what Pope wants. He is happy to have people label him as a racist for the same reason, which is the same reason that he allowed photographers to take picture of him playing catch behind the state capital building while his secretary explained to a legislator with a group of schoolchildren at the front of the building that the Governor was not available; probably the first time he has ever played catch in his life. He is so sure that they have corrupted state democracy by suppressing the votes, changed the laws, and corrupting the system that they cannot lose—arrogance of power.

I may be a loser but when I go to the polls and someone says that I cannot do that for some stupid reason; this frustrated little old gray hired man will probably stop whining and hit that (explicative-deleted) person right in the mouth.
