Sen. John Thune, Republican from South Dakota, was a guest
on +Morning Joe. He, along with +Nicole Wallace, were attacking everything Democratic.
They could not hide there their glee over the failed +Obamacare rollout. They
added to it the charge that President Obama lied repeatedly and intentionally
when he said people could keep their health plans if they liked the plan. In
their minds, it was proof that Obamacare is failed policy. Sen. Thune used the
standard and an obvious Republican lie by saying Congress was wasting time on the
Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA) when they should be working on the economy,
jobs, and workable alternative plans. As was pointed out, rather forcefully in yesterdays
oversight committee hearings, the Republicans voted 44 times to repeal
Obamacare and not once did they offer an alternative plan—not one single idea
to solve the crisis in back breaking costs of healthcare in the United States. The Republican controlled House of Representatives
did not pass or even offer one jobs bill—not one single idea. In addition, they have failed to offer a bill
to stimulate the economy—none, not even one. The only laws they passed had to
do with welfare or tax cuts, which are things that are devastating to the
economy. These facts make Thune a liar and Nicole Wallace a sycophant. The lies
do not surprise me because I remember how Thune campaigned against +Tom Daschle;
the people elected him on a lie told by George W, Bush. It wasn’t as bad as his
follow Republican, +Saxby Chambliss campaign lies but it was bad.

What their lying covered up was that the (ACA) exposed a
huge fraud healthcare insurance companies were perpetuating on the America people.
It is my hope that ACA broke a huge health care insurance bubble. Healthcare
insurance companies were selling and the people bought subpar insurance
policies thinking they had healthcare coverage at a low cost when all they were
paying for was band aide and aspirin overage. Had the ACA endorsed what they
were doing, the government would have been a party to their deceit. It is reminiscent
of the mortgage crisis during which mortgage companies sold government guaranteed
loans to people who could not afford it. However, this time the ACA exposed the
bubble before it crashed the entire U.S. economy, although many individuals and
families had already crashed and burned in a sea of bankruptcy.
The new law said that people had to have adequate healthcare
insurance; if what they were paying for was junk insurance, the law cancelled their
insurance, which the people could replace with a good policy and an affordable
price, possible with a government subsidy, through the open insurance exchange
or market. The entire Republican party are trying to destroy the ACA for one
reason, it is good for the American people and President Obama will rightfully get
the credit for bringing the American people out of the dark ages in which we
find ourselves in terms of health care. We,
as the richest nation in the world, developed the best health care system ever
known but only Saudi princesses, Iraqi Shahs, or people with elevators for
their Cadillac cars could afford it; the working people like us could not
afford it, that is until the ACA.
