NEO-CONFEDERATE ARE LIKE NEO-CONSERVATIVES

For a long time I have used the word and have heard the contraction neo-con used in reference to neoconservative meaning, according to the OED, a former liberal espousing conservatism or a conservative who advocates the assertive promotion of democracy and United State national interests in international affairs including by military means. There is much that I feel is bad nuanced in this definition. What it has come to mean is that foreign countries either do things our way or are our enemy. Because they are conservatives, in the business sense, this means they see the United States as having hegemony over the world. This is the paraphrase of George W. Bush, “You either with us or against us”. It is simple to understand, just black and white. This is Ronald Reagan; this is why all nations in the world fear us—fear is not respect. This is what Obama wants to change. He wants the United States to be the best nation in the world but also be the most respected nation in the world—there is a big difference. There can be a clearer definition of the “innate” mindset of conservatives in respect to hierarchy dominance than that embodied in the word neo-conservative; a mindset that carries into everything they do including our social structure.

The new word “neo-confederate” implies that ever-present sense of pecking order or hierarchy dominance applied within our great country. The tough guy approach; the Marlborough idol with the big white hat setting on the powerful horse—handling affair with military means.  Do what I say or I will climb down and whop you. Only “neo-confederate” applies to re-segregation. Returning people back to slavery status; to making some of count as 3/5 of a person. The new definition and this is certainly not OED’s definition is; “a former liberal (Southern Democrat) espousing conservatism or a conservative who advocates the assertive promotion of white supremacy in what they see as “our” national interest and are willing to include the use of force if necessary.”

When Lyndon Johnson signed the civil rights legislation, he aroused the neo confederate movement. When the people elected Obama, that caused many to fear the truth, racism is dead; if not dead, it is dying in the Untied States. Many of those in the neo-confederacy, for example Arizona governor’s “lock and load”, Sarah Palin’s “second amendment solutions”, and Donald Trump and the “birther” movement, are desperate; they are racist and do not want to see their fanciful vision of the plantation south, the Confederate States of America, to be “gone with the wind”.
