WOMEN'S HEALTH AND OBAMACARE

I wish it could be otherwise, but closing women’s clinics might be another reason we really need Obamacare. The major function of women’s clinics and Planned Parenthood facilities has to do with women’s health issues and not just women’s health but poor women’s health issues. If poor women cannot get health care from all of the facilities designed for that purpose, where are they to go? They cannot afford to go to private physicians for screening tests: mammary cancer, uterine cancer, cervical cancer, mental issues from unwanted pregnancies, pregnancy diabetic screening, and on and on. These are all serious things; society cannot turn its backs on all these women just because some uneducated the religious nut thinks life is more important than quality of life. Or, because some dirty old men trill themselves with the idea they have the power to force physicians to sodomized women with ultrasound probes—yes, a force vaginal insertion of a medical instrument, regardless by whom, is sodomy. All of these repercussions from anti-abortion legislation are wrong but they are very real. Obamacare will help ease the burden on some but not all of these women. I see this as just one more reason to bless the Democrats and curse the Republicans.
