WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR BAD GOVERNMENT?

Something about politics really bothers me. The more ineffective and hated the congress is, as judged by a 12% approval rating, the more apt people are not to vote. This is what is happening in the United States right now. Republicans have blocked almost all legislation except corporate welfare, tax cuts for the wealthy, and cuts to budgets; make the government so small it can be “drowned in a bath tub”. People know they need government. The need jobs, they need, educations, they need energy, they need, police and armies, they need a lot of thing but get nothing. When they get nothing; therefore, they do not want to pay taxes. Understandably, they turn their backs on government in disgust. They refuse to participate. They feel their votes mean nothing so why vote. Thus they leave selection of representatives to paid political thugs . . . better known as the Tea Party. Not voting is tantamount to tacit approval of bad government. Thus, a self-perpetuating downward spiral has been created that can only end in “crash and burn”. The moneyed corporations will be there with their private armies to reap the benefits of slave labor, etc to pick up where the government failed. If you had to guess who is promoting these feelings by preventing the government from working, whom would you pick as the culprit? The correct answer is not the obvious answer. I am here to tell you it is the guy watching a sports cast, a person who can name and number, shoe size, height, and weight of every playing in a basketball league but does not even know the name of his or her governor, state senator, representative, or even understand the difference between a Republican and a Democrat. Do your government a favor and send this blog post to a  sports fan.
