Liz Cheney is the Daughter of Dick Cheney and is proud of it,
which scares me. Dick Cheney is the epitome of ruthless use of power and his
daughter sounds just like him. He has centered his entire career on the principle
of winning at all costs; thus, he is at
the dictatorial right of conservatism. When I review his record, what I see
is a man who thinks it is morally correct to lie, cheat, steal, and torture for
power, which in his eyes is power to make more and more money. His wife, Lynne
Cheney, uses the same logic. Through manipulation of government positions, they
as a team have reaped a personal fortune to the tune of millions of taxpayer dollars.
A genetic imprint of all that errant political philosophy has
announced that she is running for senator in the State of Wyoming by running
against a “friend”, Senator Mick Enzi. Most people would call that a stab in the back
but to a Cheney, it is business as usual. What
is terrorizing is that she will win. I say this because the people of
Wyoming are not too sharp—which is why she is there and not in her home state—when
it comes to altruism or humanization, which is the product of a couple of
million years of evolution. She will focus all of her inherited bestial greed on
benefiting first herself, her friends, and family and then “the makers” and then
work to make America the most powerful nation in the world; so strong that no
one would dare do anything unless “we” said it was OK.
In the process, she will work to destroy government benevolence
toward the American people or toward other nations. It does not make sense to a
Cheney that if we want another nation’s oil or resources we should not be able
to take them whenever we want them and set our own price. It makes no sense to
a Cheney that if we want to use another nation’s cheap labor to make high
profit goods for the homeland (Wal-Mart) we should be able to pollute the environment
and exploit their governments any way we want. We had the entire world hating
us before so why not do it again.
All of the evil extremes of conservatism are wrapped up in
this woman’s genes. Confessions of an Economic
Hit Man written by John Perkins and Shock
Doctrine written by Naomi Klein were books about the Cheney brand of Republican
politics. If you thought George W. Bush’s sense of compassionate conservatism
was a joke, wait until carpetbagger Liz is in the Senate.
