My first or “gut” reaction to the scandals was why take
valuable time talking about these things. Why not debate jobs, immigration, great
opportunities in the Arab Spring, global warming, the contracting middle calls instead
of some reporter who feels offended because the government is trying to uncover
treasonous activity. However, to turn our back on this situation is to ask for more
of this kind of nefarious activity on the part of the so call Government Oversight
Committee. If we expose it for what it was maybe, just maybe, it will stop it. Even
if we can diminish it, it will be worth it. As the discussion “matured” in each
case, the pseudo-scandals have backfired
and pointed directly to Republican malfeasance. In the case of Benghazi, it
was Pentagon malfeasance. Lets keep these things above the fold until everyone understands
what they are doing and why they are doing it.

PSEUDO-SCANDALS HAVE BACKFIRED
Don’t let a good scandal die. I really think we should do everything
we can to keep the AP, Benghazi, and IRS scandals in the news. They prove, more
than anything else does, that California Congressional Representative Darrell
Issa and his supporters John McNasty and Lindsey Graham are partisan liars. They
are not interested in good government. They are interested in the old Karl Rove
axiom, no one with high negatives can be elected. They have as their singular objective
to make Democratic politicians look bad—any democrat and every democrat. This approach to generating hate has directed
government away from good legislation to scandals that are not scandals.
