The mere existence of the “gang of eight” in the Senate of the
United States is a clear victory for the GOP hate machine. President Obama stands
before the American people and says immigration reform is not an issue that is just
good for Republicans and good for Democrats nor good for “me” but is good for
the “American people”. Did you notice the President’s reference to the “trifecta”,
a system of betting on three to win? There are three not two horses in the race;
not just the political parties but he stands alone. What has happened is that the Fox News hate, the Bill O’Riley hate, the
Rush Limbaugh hate; hate, hate, hate for Obama has paid off.
If Obama insists that his
name is attached to his legislation, it will not receive any GOP support:
not one. The senate had to sub is more important to substitute the gang of
eight for the president and the president had to back off and not claim credit
for what was his signature legislation for his second term. I like Obama, and for
me, this is just one more feather in his hat. He is a politician who depends on
advancing his popularity for votes; therefore, when the Senate passes a great
piece of legislation, he should get credit for it. However, Barrack Obama is man
enough to step back and say, the “gang of eight” gets credit for doing the right
thing. Obama is not only a great President
but he is a great human being.
