I am beginning to realize that by being in the political center
I am starting to feel like a radical. It sounds crazy but that it the way I
sometimes think. I listen to Chris Hayes, Rachael Maddow, and Jeremy Scahill on
one side and Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, and Ann Coulter on the other as get
exactly the same feeling from both of them. I look at Eric Cantor, James Sensenbrenner,
Kevin McCarthy, and Ron Johnson in the House of Representatives and then look
at Rand Paul, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and James Inhofe in the Senate.
These people are irrational. Look these people as the fruits of their labor.
Even though I am to the political left, I find that I am equally as far from one group as from the other. I believe liberals can carry
their altruism to far left, just as conservatives can carry greed and selfishness
to far right. The result is one group feels obligated to go even farther to an
extreme to defend their stance, which results in irreconcilable chaos. The
desire of talk show hosts and radio commentators for more listeners drives this
is that this escalating cascade of irrationality. Like with their vote for a
political candidate, the people who want good government are in charge—turn the
knob on irrational rhetoric and I guarantee you will feel better about your own
political positions. Perhaps you will seek
a rational politician to vote into office.
