Bobby Jindal tells us what everyone knows; the Republican Party is acting stupid. So what did they do, they reelected Reince Priebus to another two year term as head of the Republican National Committee. Priebus is an Ayn Rand conservative. If you do not know what that means, it means 47% of the people in the United States are considered “takers and not makers”. Those who adhere to this philosophy clam takers are a drain on society, they are bad for society, hence get rid of them. Like the T-shirt says, “kill them all and let God sort them out”; of course, kill all except for those they need—smacks of slave-holder mentality. That is what it means to act stupid but what has it gotten them.
The Paul Ryan, Ron Johnson, Eric Canter, the pro Ayn Rand wing of the party has taken control—the tail that wags the dog. What is my evidence for this; I just told you; they reelected Reince Priebus. They got rid of Michael Steele to elect Priebus the first time. If you take the time to study and compare the philosophy of these two men, it is easy to tell that Steele was good and Priebus is bad for the party as well as the country. It is a simple as that.
In addition to calling the party stupid, Jindal said Republicans should not give up their conservative principles. Ayn Rand’s principles are conservative principles but are as extreme to the right as communism is to the left. That is why they are bad for the country. No one wants either but look at what is happening; don’t let the fact that we elected a good President fool you.
As a liberal, I would rather campaign against the Reince Priebus party than a Michal Steel party. They should be easier to beat; however, there is danger in having that attitude. What a disaster for the country if by some quirk of fate Paul Ryan, James Sensenbrenner, or a Ron Johnson became “our” president. The coalition of churches fighting to instill scientific ignorance and Biblical Law, anti female legislation, closet racism, anti gun control, voter suppression, redistricting, gerrymandering of legislative districts, take over schools, and gobs and gobs of Citizens United money fighting to destroy social security and Obamacare could bring down real right wing havoc on our Nation. You say it could never happen. Wake up; the Tea Party has serious influence in the Supreme Court, controls “our” House of Representatives, and 29 state governments. Is that the result of acting stupid? I shutter to think of what would happen if they started to act smart.
