ANONYMOUS COMMENTS QUESTIONED

A comment about “anonymous comments” seems in order. I have started to receive a number of anonymous comments on this blog site. The comments start out with something flattering about my posts: how interesting or how well written, etc. They often ask technical question about the site. However, there is never anything specific and often suggest they have never even looked at my blog spot: for example, they say “I like your pictures”, when I don’t use pictures on my site. Then they invite me to visit their web site.  The sites they direct me to vary widely in topic and even languages used, which does not seem to be consistent with being a scheme to increase hits on a site.  It is some kind of scam, but I am not sure what.

When someone views a post, they are invited to make comments. Do that, but tell me something to indicate that at least you read the post in question. The “anonymous avenue” is for people to protect themselves when they make critical comments. That is good. But, when you ask questions please be open; give your e-mail address.
