Boehner’s position of the cliff is that he is demanding Obama give a tax break for the job creators. What does that really means? He is asking the President to give a tax break to people who already are not paying enough taxes; infrastructure is collapsing, we are paying for a war we did not want, we are losing jobs, overseas, etc. The government is collecting taxes from working people but it is not enough to pay the bills. They need more and it should come from those who are reaping huge profits. Boehner has made it clear the Republican Party does not want the rich to pay their fair share. This is so wrong. First, raising taxes on the rich does not create jobs; this is a proven fact. Second and most important, Boehner wants the rich to use the streets and bridges, wants the power structures, wants cheap fuel, wants police and fire protection, and on and on. What they do not want is to pay for it. They want to live on the taxes paid by workers. That is Corporate Welfare! If they do not get what, they are willing to drive this country to ruin—so much for Republican patriotism.
