NORTH CAROLINA; McCRORY IS NAIL IN COFFIN OF DEMOCRACY

I am worried about simple human rights—inalienable rights—in North Carolina. Republicans have conquered the entire State: Legislature and Governorship; one hundred percent control; another nail in the coffin of democracy in the United States.  We saw what happened in other states where this happened yet the people of North Carolina voted for the same thing to happen in their state. Another State falls to the grip of plutocracy and all the bad things that goes along with that. There is no question; conservatives are raciest. After all, North Carolina is the home of Jessie Helms; the epitome of racism.  In this, state women are now chattel. If you do not believe that wait until they change the laws in respect to women’s rights including divorce courts, wages, reproductive rights, gay rights, etc.  The “elected” politicians in this state believe only certain people should have the right to vote, the right to education, and that working people are takers and not makers. They will work to destroy civil rights, union rights, and workers right and favor industrialist over workers. They will establish voter suppression, to gerrymander districts to insure Republicans can win more legislative seats even when they are in the minority and write legislation that even a majority of the people in the State cannot overturn just as they do in Michigan. The list seems unending. They will use the power of the government against good government. Their objective is to slam the door on democracy. Why? The answer is obvious, they want a “monarch” type of permanent majority—smacks of Karl Rove and George W. Bush, doesn’t it.

North Carolina voters labor under a false premise. The think they live in a democracy. The basic premise of democracy is that you can “peacefully” change the way things are without war if you do not like what you have. It is true that this was the case but now, you the voter, have changed that. Every law McCrory and his legislature passes will be to insure they will have a permanent majority. Remember Arizona, Sarah Palin, and other second amendment radicals saying thing like “lock and load” or “second amendment solutions”, and Wayne LaPierre saying we need assault weapons to defend ourselves. Have you every stopped to think who these people want to defend themselves against; what mean when they say these things; they mean “the Government”; they certainly do not mean the government they control such as in North Carolina—they mean democratic governments. I do not have to wait and see what they will do, I know. Republicans, you voted for him, starting Jan 5th, we all suffer!
