The current election show why it is so important that we return
to an era of separation of church and state along the lines of the state will keep
their nose out of church business and the church will keep their nose out of
the government. This is an extremely difficult thing to do. Politician will go
where the votes are. There is a thing called hierarchy dominance—pecking order—embedded
in our genome. Church leaders want to be the top chickens in society but so do politicians.
Nevertheless, the basis of our democracy is that we chose to have the people
and not God “rule the roost”. That is what 1776 was all about: we decided on a president,
a congress, and all that good stuff. If there are ten churches, for example,
there are ten Gods. Of course, each God will make decisions for whatever church
leaders decide is best for them. If we don’t like the chaos we cannot vote them
out of office but we can kick them out of government—so why don’t we.
