I puzzle over why the Republican resort to telling lies. It is
easily proven that they are lies. The answer is so obvious that it is startling;
if they win, no one will ever hold them accountable; if they lose, the lies are
soon forgotten. This logic hinges on one thing. The person with the most votes wins—period. How you got those vote does not count. There is no way in our democracy to withdraw a
win because someone lied to win. Each
lie may harvest only a few votes, but every vote counts. Flip-flopping is
admitting you either told the truth the first time or told the truth the second
time but not both times. Romney lies
ever time he opens his mouth. The best lawyer is the one who can get you off
even when you are guilt; the best campaign manager is the one that can get you
elected when you are not the best person for the job. Karl Rove is like Johnny Cochran.
