REPUBLICAN ELECTION PHILOSOPHY

Why is it important to realize why Romney is not campaigning in battle ground states? He has chosen to attend fundraisers and, of course, fundraisers are best held where he has the most supporters not where he has to fight for dominance.  This smacks of the base Republican and especially his philosophy, which seems to be if he has all the money he needs, he will win. Money can buy anything and everything. This is in contrast to the fundamentals of democratic philosophy, which is that if his ideas will help the middle class, he will have all the votes he needs.

The tragedy of this is that he may be right. The Supreme Court based their Citizens United ruling on this idea. If you are sick and tired of campaign ads on TV, just wait. There are 39 days left and Rove is in charge of huge pots of money. What this means is that “Swift Boats” are going to be launched big time not just against Obama but all congressional races and governor races. Rove’s specialty is last minute dirty campaign lies. You know Republicans will stop at nothing to win. They are proud, and not ashamed, of their voter suppression efforts and stacking of Federal Courts with activist judges, of congressional refusal to pass legislation to create jobs, etc. Ask these questions, why is the infrastructure in this country crumbling? Why did congress vote to sustain subsidies for big oil companies?  Why do election laws treat corporations as people? If you answer to these question is that things are this way to help the middle class, you will have a real problem on Election Day—you will deserve what you may get.
